Very rare single franking of the 12xu stamp on a homemade local letter from Puc-Ninh (small post office) to Nam Dinh in July of 1970. Most local letters were destroyed in the multi-decadal war, by the tropical climate or recycling due to raw material shortages.

Mixed franking of the 50xu Engels stamp with other NVN stamps (Including the 8xu Spring Offensive stamp) for an overall postage 1.78D on a registered air-mail letter to Paris, France in 1973. The 1D value is hard to find on postally used cover.

Mixed franking of a block of four of the 40xu Children Games stamps together with the 8xu NLF stamp and 20xu October Revolution stamp for an overall postage of 1.88D on an air-mail letter from hanoi to Paris, France in 1975.

Air mail letter sent January of 1970 from Hanoi to East Germany using one of the 12xu National Liberation Front stamps plus two of the 20xu Fruit stamps for an overall postage of 52xu. Since the required postage for a standard 20g letter was only 12xu (50 xu to Western countries) this letter was either much heavier than the standard or was simply franked incorrectly.

Rare express mail letter featuring the entire set mailed to Klewitz in January 1970. The postage amounted to 1.82 Dong which was slightly above the required tariff for a standard 20 gram registered express mail letter to West Germany (Tariff 1.60 Dong), so the letter may have been a bit heavier than the standard.

Mixed franking of the 1D Woschod stamp together with two 12xu stamps National Liberation Front themes stamps from 1968 for an overall postage of 1.24D. The letter was addressed to Paris, France.
