North Vietnam, South Vietnam: Home and People (Contemporary Paintings), June 20th, 1969, Michel Nr. 575-580; This series featured the contemporary paintings of the National Liberation Front that was active in South Vietnam. Six values in the nominals of 12 xu (two stamps), 20 xu, 30 xu, 40 xu and 50 xu were issued in perforation 12.25:11.75 and imperforate.

Here is the mint perforated set.

Here is the mint imperforate set:

Mint block of four of the 50xu top value:

Mixed franking of a pair of the 150D Resistance in South Vietnam stamps with one of the 40xu South Vienna Home and People stamps documenting a mixed currency transaction. The 150D stamps were devalued by 1,000:1 on March 1st, 1959 so were only worth 30 xu for the pair in 1970. The overall postage amounted hence to 73 xu. Mailings to Switzerland were still pretty rare in the early 1970’s.

Mixed franking of two of the 40xu value of the Home and People set plus the 3xu Mountain Tribes for an overall postage of 83xu on a Xunhasaba letter sent to Tours, France in July of 1970.

Rare multiple franking of the 50xu stamp for an overall postage of 1Dong covering the international letter rate as of December 1st, 1976. Small photo of a man inside.

Very rare large envelope featuring the entire im-perforated set of the series sent to Klewitz in November of 1969. Im-perfroated stamps on postally used cover are very rare. The overall postage of what must have been a heavy envelope amounted to 3.22 Dong which appears to be realistic given that a standard 20 gram registered express mail letter already cost 1.60 Dong.

Mixed franking of the 12 xu Handicraft stamp together with stamps from the Ballistic Missile, Revolution and SVN Home and People sets for an overall postage of 74 xu on an international letter sent from Hai-Phong to Switzerland in 1970.

Rare express mail letter featuring the 40 xu and 50 xu stamp of the set mailed to Klewitz in January 1970. The postage amounted to 1.82 Dong which was slightly above the required tariff for a standard 20 gram registered express mail letter to West Germany (Tariff 1.60 Dong), so the letter may have been a bit heavier than the standard.

Rare registered express mail letter sent to Klewitz in February of 1971. The letter features the entire set plus three stamps from the im-perforated Home and People set from 1969. Im-perforated stamps on postally used cover are very rare. The overall postage amounted to 1.65 Dong which was a  tad above the required tariff for a standard 20 gram registered express mail cover to West Germany.

Rare express mail letter mailed to Klewitz in March of 1976 carrying one of the im-perfroated 40 xu stamps plus various im-perfroated issues of previous series. Im-perforated stamps on postally used cover are very rare. The overall franking amounted to 2.88 Dong which appears to be in excess of the required postage for a standard express mail letter to West Germany (Tariff of 1.00 Dong).

Very rare letter sen to Klewitz in March of 1976. It carries the im-perforated souvenir sheet plus a range of im-perforated other NVN stamps. Souvenir sheets and im-perforated stamps postally used cover are very rare. The overall postage of the letter amounted to 3.58 Dong which appears to be in excess of the required tariff (1.50 Dong for a standard 20 gram express mail letter).

Air Mail letter sent in May of ? to a technical school in Ilemnau, East Germany. The letter is franked with one 50xu Home and People plus one 2 xu National Liberation Front stamp for an overall postage of 52xu.
