North Vietnam, Poisonous Snakes, November 30th, 1970, Michel Nr. 641-644; Four stamps with the nominals of 12 xu, 20 xu, 50 xu and 1 Dong were issued perforated 12:11.75 and imperforate.

Here is the mint perforated set.

Here is the imperforate mint set in pairs from the lower left margin corner.

Very rare registered express mail letter featuring one of the 12 xu stamps plus the entire im-perforated poisonous snake set sent to Klewitz in February 1971. Im-perforated stamps on postally used cover are very rare. The overall postage of the letter amounted to 1.94 which was above the required postage for a standard 20 gram registered express mail letter to West Germany (Tariff of 1.60 Dong).

Mixed franking of the 50xu and 1D Snake stamps together with the 12xu Bumper Crop stamp for an overall postage of 1.62D. Malied by a Women Organization to a client in Canada in February of 1971.

Mixed franking of the 59 xu Poisonous Snake stamp together with two of the 12 xu Revolution stamps paying an overall postage of 74 xu on an international letter setoff rom Hai Phong to Switzerland in April of 1971.

Very rare registered express mail from March of 1975 letter mailed to Klewitz featuring the 50 xu stamp. On the reverse it features the im-perforated 1973 domestic wildlife set plus the im-perforated 50 xu poisonous snake set from 1970. Im-perforated stamps on postally used cover are very rare. The overall postage of the letter amounted to 3.74 Dong which appears to me in excess of the required tariff (1.60 Dong).

Rare express mail letter sent to Klewitz in July of 1972 featuring the perforated 40 and 50 xu stamps of the set. It also bears an im-perforated 12 xu stamp of the poisonous snake set. Im-perforated stamps on postally used cover are very rare.  The overall postage amounted to 1.92 Dong which may have been above the required tariff of 1.60 Dong.

Very rare letter featuring the entire set plus im-perforated stamps of the Luna 9 and poisonous snake series sent to Klewitz in September of 1973. Im-perforated stamps on postally used cover are very rare. The overall postage amounted to 1.99 Dong which was probably in excess of the required tariff of 1.00 Dong for a standard express mail letter to West Germany. It was initially signed to be sent by registered mail (Tariff of 1.60 Dong) but that did not take place.  Fulda arrival cancel on the reverse.

Very rare letter featuring the entire set and sent to Klewitz in September of 1973. The letter also features three im-perforated values of the poisonous snake set. Im-perforated stamps on postally used cover are very rare. The overall postage amounted to 2.00 Dong which is most likely in excess of the required tariff of 1.00 Dong. The letter was initially signed to be sent by registered mail (Tariff of 1.60 Dong), however that did not take place. Hannover (PA Han 3) and Fulda arrival cancels on the reverse.

Rare letter sent to Klewitz in September of 1973 bearing a strip of the 12 xu stamps plus both color versions of the 30 xu Kopernikus stamp. It is interesting that there is a ghost image of the left 12 xu stamp visible on the large piece of margin to the right. There are also interesting printed handwritten printer notes on the right selvage piece. Two values from the snake set are on the reverse. The postage of the letter amounted to 2.20 Dong which appears to be in excess of the required tariff of 1.00 Dong. Initially the letter was slated to be sent by registered mail (Tariff 1.60 Dong) but that never took place. Hannover and Fulda arrival cancel on the reverse.

Rare express mail letter from September of 1973 featuring the set twice (ex Klewitz). The overall postage amounted to 1.98 which appears to be excessive for a standard 20 gram express mail letter to West Germany (Tariff 1.00 Dong). Some stamps from the snake set and Hannover and Fulda arrival cancels on the reverse.

Very rare registered express mail letter sent to Klewitz in April of 1975. The letter carries the entire im-perforated set plus some im-per-forated stamps from the poisonous snake set. Im-perfroated stamps on postally used cover are very rare. The overall postage amounted to 3.76 Dong which appears to be in excess of the required tariff for a standard 20 gram  registered express mail letter to West Germany (Tariff of 2.10 Dong).
