Unified Vietnam, Soccer World Cup Italy IV, September 25th, 1990, Michel Nr. 2264-2270, Block 85; The Vietnamese Postal Authorities decided to overprint the set issued on April 19th, 1990 with the name of the three winners of the championship printed on each stamp/souvenir-sheet in black. The imperforate original set must have been used up as the overprints only exist on the perforated set.

Registered air mail letter sent in October, 1990 from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz. The letter carries stamps from the overprinted World Cup and Soccer sets plus stamps from the Old Sail Boats (imperforate), Women Union and Postal Education Center sets for an overall postage of 16,450.17D (including the red free frank for 8,150D). The overprinted Soccer stamps that were originally issued in 1982 had a very low nominal value which made them basically useless for postal usage. Therefore these stamps on postally used cover are very rare. Green Fulda custom cachet on front.

The letter carries stamps from the overprinted World Cup and Soccer sets plus stamps from the Capital Hue, Socialist Republic and Ministry for Post and Telecommunication sets for an overall postage of 11,750.17D (including the red free frank for 5,350D). The overprinted Soccer stamps that were originally issued in 1982 had a very low nominal value which made them basically useless for postal usage. Registered air mail letter sent in November, 1990 from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz. The letter carries the souvenir-sheet from the overprinted World Cup and Soccer sets plus stamps from the Motorcycles (souvenir-sheets) and stamps from the Cambodian National Day (perforated and imperforate) sets  (including the red free frank for 5,350D). The overprinted Soccer stamps that were originally issued in 1982 had a very low nominal value which made them basically useless for postal usage. Therefore these stamps and souvenir-sheets on postally used cover are very rare. The Motorcycle stamps from 1984  were still denominated in old Dong while all other stamps were already denominated in new Dong.  The Vietnamese Government conducted a devaluation of the Dong on September 14th, 1985. This meant that all stamps issued prior to this date were only worth one tenth at the time of mailing. The overall postage hence amounted to 20 oD = 2 nD. plus the stamps in new Dong (4,700 nD) plus the red free frank for 7,050 nD for 11,752 nD. Fragment of the green Fulda custom cachet on front.

The letter carries perforated Butterflies stamps plus stamps from the Olympic Winter Games (souvenir-sheet) and the rare on cover overprinted World Cup Italy  sets for an overall postage of 19,000D (including the red free frank for 2,900D). The letter carries imperforate overprinted Sevilla 92 stamps plus stamps from the Old Steam Trains (imperforate) and overprinted World Cup Italy sets for an overall postage of 37,650D (including the red free frank for 22,100D). Imperforate stamps on postally used cover are very rare.

The letter carries perforated World Cup USA II stamps plus stamps from the World Cup USA I (imperforate), World Cup Italy (overprinted) and South East Asia Games sets for an overall postage of 20,500D.
