Unified Vietnam, Olympic Winter Games 1984 Sarajevo, January 30th, 1984, Michel Nr. 1402-1409, Block 24; Seven stamps with the nominals of 50xu (two stamps), 1D, 2D, 3D, 5D and 6D as well as a souvenir-sheet with a 10D nominal were issued perforated and imperforate. Three of the stamps have errors (bent riffle on the 50xu, R missing in Hiver and dot between 6 and d) but since they occur on all stamps printed they are not rare.

Registered letter sent in June of 1984 from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz. The letter carries pairs of the 2D, 5D and 6D Winter Olympics values plus some Ha Long Bay stamps for an overall postage of 75.40 (including there red free frank for 16.9D). Green Fuzlda custom cachet on front.

Registered air mail letter sent in July of 1984 from Tan Binh to Klewitz. The letter carries the entire Winter Olympics set , some Karl Marx and Chess stamps for an overall postage of 50.10. Fragment of Fulda custom cachet on front.

Very rare air mail letter sent in November of 1984 from Quan 5 to Klewitz. The letter carries the entire imperforate Olympic Winter Games set plus some imperforate Ciconiiformes stamps for an overall postage of 27.50D. Imperforate stamps on postally used cover are very rare.

Registered air mail letter sent in July of 1984 from Tan Binh to Klewitz. The letter carries the perforated Olympic Winter Games souvenir-sheet, a Communist Party stamp with a significant passer-shift as well as stamps from the Karl Marx and Chess set for an overall postage of 51.30D. Registered air mail letter sent in November of 1984 from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz. The letter carries the imperforate souvenir-sheet plus some stamps from the Flat Fish and Asia Games set for an overall postage of 48.20D (including the red free frank for 10xu). Souvenir-sheets are very rare on postally used cover.

Registered air mail letters ent in June of 1984 from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz. The letter carries eight of the 50xu Union Congress stamps plus stamps from the Flat Fish and Olympic Winter Games stamps for an overall postage of 210.7D (including the red free frank for 168.6D). The Flat Fish stamps are imperforate and the Union Congress stamps carry passer-shifts and plate errors detailed above (i.e. during building). Error and imperforate stamps on postally used letters are very rare. Green Fulda custom cachet on front.

Registered air mail letter featuring a mixed currency franking and sent in May of 1985 from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz. The letter carries features the perforated Peace Meeting set and other contemporary NVN stamps with a total nominal of 62.7 Dong. There were four of the 150D Handicraft stamps from 1958 that had been devalued by 1,000:1 in March of 1959 so they were only worth 60xu at the time of mailing. So the overall postage (including the red free frank for 90xu) amounted to 63.6D. Partial green Fulda custom cachet on front.

Registered air mail letter featuring a mixed currency franking and sent in June of 1985 from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz. The letter carries two of the 5D Peace Meeting stamps, imperforate Flat Fish stamps and other contemporary NVN stamps for an overall franking of 244.62D (including the red free frank for 192D). There are also four Reunification stamps from 1958 valued at 200D that were devalued in March of 1959 by 1,000:1 and hence were only worth 20xu at the time of mailing. So, the overall postage of the letter amounted to 244.82D. Imperforate stamps on postally used cover are very rare. Partial green Fulda custom cachet on front.

Registered air mail letter that carries the rare se-tenant strips of the 1D and 2D and 5D and 3D values that came from the large sheets that were only available in the printing works. The letter also carries the rare Post Master Perforation of the 12xu Lotus stamp as well as stamps for the World Food Day and Winter Olympics. Errors stamps on postally used cover are very rare. The overall postage of the letter (including the red free frank for 165D) amounted to 209.62D. Fragment of green Fulda custom cacjet on front. Fulda arrival cancel on the reverse.

Air mail letter sent in February of 1986 as a mixed currency franking from Quan 5 to Klewitz. The letter carries the entire imperforate Musical Instrument set plus stamps from the Winter Olympic, Peace Meeting and Reconstruction sets.  Imperforate stamps on postally used cover are very rare. The Musical Instrument and Reconstruction stamps were already denominated in new Dong while the other stamps were denominated in old Dong. The Vietnamese Government conducted a devaluation of the Dong on September 14th, 1985. This meant that all stamps issued prior to this date were only worth one tenth at the time of mailing. The overall postage hence amounted to 27.5oD =2.75 nD. plus the stamps in new Dong (39D)  for 41.75 nD.
