Unified Vietnam, Chinese New Year “Year of the Dragon”, January 3rd, 2000, Michel Nr. 3034-3035; Two stamps in nominals of 400D and 8,000D were issued in perforation 13.5 and imperforate. The stamps were printed in tête-bêche fashion within the sheet.

Here is the mint perforated and imperforate set. The perforated strips of three and imperforate paired stamps show the vertical tête-bêche stamp arrangement within the sheet.

Registered air mail letter sent in March of 2000 from Saigon to Klewitz. The letter carries pairs of the set in tête-bêche arrangement and the imperforate set plus stamps from the Year of the Cat and Butterflies (imperforate) for an overall postage of 37,600D. Imperforate stamps on postally used cover are very rare. Orange German Post route coding on front. Incoming German Post registration except on the reverse.

Registered air mail letter sent in May of 2000 from Saigon to Klewitz. The letter carries the imperforate Cock Fights set plus stamps from the Year of the Dragon (imperforate) and 70 Years Communist Party sets for an overall postage of 33,200D. Imperforate stamps on postally used cover are very rare. Incoming German Post registration receipt on the reverse.

Mixed franking of the perforated Chinese New Year “Year of the Monkey” set together with stamps from the Chinese New Year “Year of the Dragon” (imperforate), 110th Birthday of Ho Chi Minh, Gold Fish (imperforate) and 95th Birthday of Ngo Gia Tu’ sets paying an overall postage of 24,600D on a registered international air mail letter sent from Saigon to Klwitz in March of 2004. Imperforate stamps on postally used letters are very hard to find. Incoming German registration receipt on the reverse.
