These stamps were not officially released imperforate however a small number of imperforate trial proofs have come to market. Below are mint pairs of these trial proofs.

Single franking of the 100D stamp on a local letter sent from Hanoi to HCM City in October of 1990.

Multi franking of two 100D value paying an overall postage pf 200D on a local letter sent from HCM City to Quan 6. Quan 5 transit cancel on the reverse.

Mixed “stair franking” of fifteen 100D Communist Party stamps applied by the postal clerk on top of each other due to a lack of space on the envelope together with a single 3,000D Hydro Station stamp paying an overall postage of 4,500D on an international letter sent from Bien Hoa to the United States in July of 1990.

The letter carries pairs of the perforated and imperforate Communist Party set plus stamps from the Fruits and Off-shore Oil Production sets for an overall postage of 8,000D (including the red free frank for 3,930D). Imperforate stamps on postally used cover are very rare.

Mixed franking of the October Revolution set together with stamps from the Hdyro Power Station and Off-Shore Oil sets paying an overall postage of 14,970 (including the red free frank for 9,770D) on a registered international air mail letter sent rom HCM City to Hong Kong in March of 1993.

Registered air mail letter made up of a postal stationary issued in February of 1990 (100D was the standard domestic letter rate at the time) with an additional franking from the Hydro Station, Communist Party and Animal (souvenir-sheet) sets for an overall postage of 8,000D. The letter weighed 10g and was mailed from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz in March of 1990.

Registered air mail letter mailed in May of 1990 from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz. The letter carries perforated stamps and imperforate from the Capital Hue set plus stamps from the Child Immunization , 40 Years East Germany, Communist Party, Gold Fish and Helicopters (imperforate) sets for an overall postage of 8,890D (including the red free frank for 4,800D). Imperforate stamps on postally used cover are very rare. Fragment of the green Fulda custom cachet on front.

Registered air mail letter sent in October of 1990 from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz. The letter carries perforated Air Ship stamps and the souvenir-sheet plus stamps from the Communist Party, Capital Hue and Soccer World Cup Italy sets for an overall postage of 10,400D. The zero money free frank was required to produce the R-label that came out of the same machine. Souvenir-sheets on postally used cover are very rare. Green Fula custom cachet on front.

The letter carries imperforate Cat stamps plus stamps from the World Cup Italy (including the stamp from the souvenir-sheet), Dogs and Communist Party sets for an overall postage of 12,850D (including the red free frank for 2,850D). Imperforate stamps and stamps from souvenir-sheets on postally used cover are very rare.
