1000 Years City of Hanoi

Unified Vietnam, 1000 Years City of Hanoi, October 15th, 2000, Michel Nr. 3108-3111; Three stamps in nominals of 400D, 3,000D and 10,000D were issued in perforation 13.25. There was also a souvenir-sheet with a 15,000D nominal that was produced in perforation 13.5:14.

Registered air mail letter sent in December of 2000 from Ban Co to Klewitz. The letter carries pairs of the 1000 Years City of Hanoi set plus a stamp from the For the Children set for an overall postage of 31,800D. Incoming German Post registration receipt on the reverse.

The letter carries the souvenir-sheet of the 1000 Years City of Hanoi set plus stamps from the Le Dynasty (one imperforate) and Saola Antelope (Perf. 13.5:13.25) sets for an overall postage of 35,800D. Souvenir-Sheets and imperforate stamps on postally used cover are very rare. Incoming German Post registration receipt on the reverse.

Mixed franking of the Barbed Snails set together with stamps from the Coral Reef Fish and 100 Years City of Hanoi sets paying an overall postage of 30,600D (including the red free frank for 2,300D) on a registered international air mail letter sent from Saigon to Klewitz in April of 2004. Unusual use of the 100D stamp cut from the postal stationary issued in honor of the 100th Birthday of Ho Chi Minh in 1990. Incoming German registration receipt on the reverse.

Mixed franking of the 50 Years Newspaper “Thieu Nien” stamp together with stamps from the Alleged Adulteress, Year of the Rat (stamp from the souvenir-sheet) and Saola Antelope sets paying an overall postage of 37,400D on a registered international air mail letter sent from Saigon to Klwitz in September of 2004. Stamps from souvenir-sheets are very hard to find a postally used letters. Incoming German registration receipt on the reverse.
