North Vietnam, Domestic Fruits, November 20th, 1969, Michel Nr. 588-593; Six stamps in the nominals of 12 xu (two stamps), 20 xu, 30 xu, 40 xu and 50 xu were issued perforated 12.0 and imperforate.

Her is the mint perforated set.

Here is the mint imperforate set.

Mixed franking of the 12xu Fruit, 6xu October Revolution and 40xu Aircraft Shot Down stamps paying an overall postage of 58xu on an air mail post card sent from Hanoi to East Germany.

Rare single franking of the 50xu stamp paying the standard letter rate (postcards cost 46 xu) to a Western country. It is not clear why communist Hungary would have been considered a “Western” country and not a “Eastern” country which would have only required a 6xu postcard rate.

Air mail letter sent January of 1970 from Hanoi to East Germany using one of the 12xu National Liberation Front stamps plus two of the 20xu Fruit stamps for an overall postage of 52xu. Since the required postage for a standard 20g letter was only 12xu (50 xu to Western countries) this letter was either much heavier than the standard or was simply franked incorrectly.

Mixed franking of the 12xu Fruits stamp together with the 1D Dragon Fly and two Melon stamps for an overall postage of 2.62D on an air mail letter from Ho Chi Minh City to Paris, France in September of 1977.

Mixed franking of the 12xu and 50xu Fruits stamps together with the 1D Melon and Drag Fly stamps for an overall postage of 2.62D on a letter sent from Ho Chi Minh City to Paris, France in September of 1977.

Mixed ranking of the 40 xu Fruit stamp together with the 30 xu Ballistic Missile stamp paying an overall postage of 70 xu on an international letter sent from Hai Phong to Switzerland in March of 1970.

Mixed franking of the 12xu, 20xu and 30xu Fruits stamps together with the 1D Dragon Fly and Air Defense stamps for an overall postage of 2.62D on an air mail letter from Ho Chi Minh City to Paris, France in September of 1977.

Mixed franking of the 20xu and 40xu Fruits stamps together with the 1D Dragon Fly and Wild Animal stamps for an overall postage of 2.60D on an air mail letter from Ho Chi Minh City to Paris, France in September of 1977.

Mixed franking of the 40xu and 50xu Fruits stamps together with the 1D Dragon Fly and two Melon stamps for an overall postage of 2.60D on an air mail letter from Ho Chi Minh City to Paris, France in August of 1977.

Very rare registered express mail letter from February 1970 to Klewitz featuring the entire im-perforated set. Im-perforated stamps on postally used cover are very rare. The overall postage amounted to 1.64 Dong which is slightly in excess of the required tariff of 1.60 Dong. Fulda arrival cancel on the reverse.

Another very rare registered express mail letter featuring one 6 xu stamps and one 12 xu Socialist Republic stamps with the post master perforation sent from Ho Chi Minh City  to West Germany sent in July of 1980. There are also some of the Domestic Fruit stamps. The overall postage amounted to 4.51 Dong slightly above the required postage of 4.40 Dong. Fulda arrival stamp on the reverse. Green Fulda custom cachet on front. Unusual hand-made express mail label.

Air Mail letter sent from Ho Chi Minh City to Hong Kong in January of 1980 bearing the complete perforated domestic fruit set for an overall franking of 1.64D. The 20g tariff to Asia amounted to 0.65D so, unless this letter was very heavy it probably represents an over-franked philatelic letter.

Mixed franking of the 20 xu and 50 xu Fruit stamps plus the 5 xu Army Games stamp paying an overall postage of 75 xu on an international air mail letter sent from Hai Phong to Switzerland (full contents preserved) sent in February of 1970.
