Below are very rare imperforate trial proofs that show slightly different colors of the frame and the writing. These stamps also show significant “color kisses” on the reverse in yet other colors. The handwritten markings were applied by the printer.

Mixed franking of the 6xu Labor Day stamps (2) together with the 20xu and 50 xu Wild Animal stamps and there 30xu Chicken stamps paying an overall postage of 1.12D on an international air mail letter sent in June of 1968 by the North Vietnamese Red Cross to the Red Cross Head Quarters in Geneva, Switzerland.
Here is a very rare express mail letter sent to Klewitz in October of 1968. It features the entire imperforate chicken set. Imperforate stamps on postally used cover are very rare. The overall postage of the letter amounted to 1.88 Dong which appears to be in excess of the required tariff for a standard registered express mail letter to West Germany (1.60 Dong). However, the letter may have contained stamps that Klewitz had orderd from his domestic contact and so may have been heavier than the standard 20 grams. Fulda arrival cancel on the reverse.
Mixed franking using the 3xu value of the Mountain Province set plus other NVN stamps (including the 20xu Chicken stamp)for an overall postage of 74xu on a homemade letter to France.

Very rare registered express mail sent to Klewitz in March of 1972. It carries pair of the 40 xu and one of the 50 xu stamps of the sport series. It also carried a pair of the 10 xu Pagaoda stamp issue and a 12 xu stamp of the domestic chicken series. Im-perforated stamps on postally used cover are very rare. The overall postage of the letter amounted to 2.02 Dong which was most likely in excess of the required tariff of 1.60 Dong for a standard 20 gram registered express mail letter to West Germany.

Im-perforated stamps on postally used cover are very rare. The overall franking amounted to 1.64 which was a tad above the required tariff of 1.60 Dong. Souvenir sheets and im-perforated stamps on postally used cover are very rare. The overall franking amounted to 1.84 which appears to be in line with the required tariff for such a large envelope. Hannover transit and Fulda arrival cancel on the reverse.
Very rare registered express mail letter sent to Klewitz in May of 1975. The letter features the entire set plus a number of the imperforate chicken set from 1968. Imperforate stamps on postally used cover are very rare. The overall postage amounted to 2.60 Dong which was higher than the standard 20 gram registered express mail letter to West Germany (Tariff of 2.10) but the letter may have been heavier than the standard.
