These stamps were not officially released imperforate however some imperforate trial proofs have come to market. Below are imperforate blocks of four.

Aerogramme (folded letter) featuring a mixed franking of three 50D Soviet Friendship and two 10D Solidarity Committee stamps paying an overall potage of 170D on an international mail sending from HCM City to Czechoslovakia.

Registered air mail letter sent in December of 1987 from Ho Chi Minh Ciyt to Klewitz. The letter carries pairs of the Soviet-Vietnamese Friendship Treaty stamps plus stamps from the KPdSU (imperforate), Year of Peace, Humane Living and Traditional Minorities Dresses sets for an overall postage of 1,222.5D (including the red free frank for 1,015D). Registered air mail letter sent in February  of 1988 from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz. The letter carries the perforated and imperforate Soviet-Vietnamese Friendship Treaty stamps plus stamps from the October Revolution, Insects (imperforate) and STOCKHOLMIA Birds  sets for an overall postage of 1,221D (including the red free frank for 1,064D). Registered air mail letter sent in March of 1988 from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz. The letter carries the other half of the perforated Fish set plus stamps from the Wales, CSSR-Vietnamese Friendship (Imperforate), October Revolution and Cham Culture sets for an overall postage of 1,376D (including the red free frank for 900D). Registered air mail letter sent in March of 1988 as a mixed currency franking from Ho Chi Minh Ciyt to Klewitz. The letter carries one perforated Rose stamp and  the souvenir-sheet plus stamps from the Vietnam-CSSR Cooperation (imperforate), October Revolution, Cacti, Soccer World Cup and Motor Cycles sets. The Motor Cycle stamps were still denominated in old Dong while all other stamps were already denominated in new Dong.  Souvenir-Sheets and imperforate stamps on postally used cover are very rare. The Vietnamese Government conducted a devaluation of the Dong on September 14th, 1985. This meant that all stamps issued prior to this date were only worth one tenth at the time of mailing. The overall postage hence amounted to  7 oD =0.70 nD. plus the stamps in new Dong (233 nD) plus the red free frank for 1,137 nD for 1,370,7 nD. Fragment of the green Fulda custom cachet on front.

Registered air mail letter sent in November of 1987 from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz. The letter carries perforated and imperforate stamps from the Elephant set plus stamps from the Butterflies and Friendship Treaty sets for an overall postage of 552D. Registered air mail letter sent in November of 1987 as a mixed currency franking from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz. The letter carries stamps from the 1986 Old Ships, Summit, Ha Long Bay, Butterflies and Peace Treaty sets. The Ha Long Bay stamps are imperforate. Imperforate stamps on postally used cover are very rare. The Summit and Ha Long Bay stamps were still denominated in old Dong while all other stamps were already denominated in new Dong.  The Vietnamese Government conducted a devaluation of the Dong on September 14th, 1985. This meant that all stamps issued prior to this date were only worth one tenth at the time of mailing. The overall postage hence amounted to  4 oD =0.40 nD. plus the stamps in new Dong (20.5 nD) plus the red free frank for 499 nD for 519.9 nD. Fragment of the green Fulda custom cachet on front.

The letter carries the perforated and imperforate Solidarity Committee set plus stamps from the Butterflies, Wicker Basket, VANCOUVER Airplanes, Cacti and Vietnamese-Russian Friendship sets for an overall postage of 1,221 (including the red free frank for 1,034D). Registered air mail letter sent in May of 1996 from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz. The letter carries the entire imperforate  Vajra Sculpture set plus stamps from the Alpine Rose and USSR Friendship Treaty sets for an overall postage of 27,055D. Imperforate stamps on postally used cover are very rare.  Fulda arrival cancel on the reverse.
