Unified Vietnam, Orchids, August 10th, 1979, Michel Nr. 1055-1062; Eight stamps with the nominals of 12 xu (two stamps), 20 xu, 30 xu, 40 xu, 50 xu, 60 xu and 1 Dong were issued perforated 12.0 and imperforate.

Rare registered express mail letter sent from Haiphong to Klewitz in February of 1980. The letter carries half of the perforated Orchid set plus stamps from the Farm Animal set for an overall postage of 4.80 Dong. Fulda arrival cancel on the reverse. Green Fulda custom cachet on front.

International letter sent in March of 1980from Hue to Sacramento in the United States. The letter carries two of the 20 xu Orchid stamps plus the 1D Air Defense stamp paying an overall postage of 1.40D.

Very rare registered express mail latter sent from Hanoi to Klewitz in July of 1980. The letter carries half of the im-perforated Orchid set plus other NVN stamps for an overall postage of  4.84 Dong. Im-perforated stamps on postally used cover are very rare. Fulda arrival cancel on the reverse.

Another very rare registered express mail latter sent from Hanoi to Klewitz in July of 1980. The letter carries the other half of the im-perforated Orchid set plus im-perforated stamps of the Space Conquest set  for an overall postage of  4.84 Dong. Im-perforated stamps on postally used cover are very rare. Fulda arrival cancel on the reverse.

Rare registered express mail letter sent to Klewitz in October of 1980. It carries two of the 1 Dong Day of the Cild stamps plus two of the 12 xu Orchid stamps for an overall postage of 4.42 Dong. Red “Franked by Sender” hand stamp and green Fulda custom cachet on front.  The zero red free frank was required to produce the R-label as they came out of the same machine.

Rare registered express mail letter sent from Dien-Bien Phu to Klewitz in October of 1980. The letter carries four higher values of the perforated Fish set plus the 20 xu and 30 xu Orchid stamps for a total postage of 4.80 Dong. Fulda arrival cancel on the reverse. Green Fulda custom cachet on front.

Another rare registered express mail letter sent from Dien-Bien Phu to Klewitz in October of 1980. The letter carries the other values of the perforated Fish set plus the 40 xu and 60 xu Orchid stamps for a total postage of 4.80 Dong. Fulda arrival cancel on the reverse. Green Fulda custom cachet on front.

Registered letter sent from Quan 5 (Cholon) to Klewitz in April of 1982. The letter carries the entire Nutritional Day set plus other NVN stamps for an overall postage of 7.50 Dong. The top 30 xu stamp shows a plate error “line on O of FAO”.  Two Orchid stamps on the reverse. Interesting manuscript  R-label. Green Fulda custom cachet on front.
