Unified Vietnam, Ice Dancing, May 29th, 1989; Michel Nr. 2044-2051, Block 70; Seven stamps in nominals of 10D (two stamps), 20D (two stamps), 30D (two stamps) and 50D were issued in perforation 13 and imperforate. There was also a souvenir-sheet with a 80D nominal with there same perforation. Klewitz reports an issuance  date of December 10th, 1988 so the May 1989 date reported by Michel may not be correct. This is supported by postally used letters ex Klewitz which were mailed using these stamps already in April of 1989, well before the reported Michel date.

Stamps sold at Vietnamese  post offices were without gum while stamps sold by the official Vietnamese stamp agency were gummed.

Here is the mint perforated set

and here the mint imperforate stamp set in matching top right sheet corners with sheet numbers

Here is the imperforate souvenir-sheet cancelled with what Klewitz reports to be the First Day of Issuance (December 10th, 1988).

A rare perforation error is known on the perforated souvenir-sheet. It provides a glimpse that these souvenir-sheets were printed in large sheets with a wide white selvage. Here the sheet was improperly cut showing the white selvage in the top part of the sheet but cutting off the bottom part. The error shows the partial Hanoi first day cancel as shown above.
