Unified Vietnam, Farm Animals (II), March 20th, 1979, Michel Nr. 1020-1027; Eight stamps with nominals of 10 xu, 12 xu, 20 xu, 30 xu, 40 xu, 50 xu, 60 xu and 1 Dong were issued perforated 12.25 and im-perforated:

Rare local air mail letter sent in May of 1979 from Hanoi to HCM City. Given the 20xu franking it appears that the standard domestic letter rate changed from 12xu to 20 xu sometime in 1979. HCM City machine arrival cancel on the reverse.

Another local letter sent from Ta Son Binh (small post office) to HCM City in May of 1979, again,payong the new domestic letter rate of 20xu. HCM City machine arrival cancel on the reverse.

Mixed franking of the 12xu Domestic Animal stamps (2) together with the 6xu Total Victory stamp paying an overall postage of 30xu on a domestic letter (full content preserved)  sent within the Saigon area in February of 1982.

Unusual hand-made version of the express mail label as apparently the printed version had run out.

Registered letter sent from Quan 5 (Cholon) to Klewitz in August of 1981. It carries the 10 xu flower stamp in many different color variations. It also carries the 1 Dong Farm Anima stamp. The overall postage amounted to 8.28 Dong. The zero money red free frank was required to print the registration label as it came out of the same machine. Unusual red cancel. Fulda green custom cachet on front.

Another very rare registered express mail letter sent in September of 1980 to Klewitz. The letter carries one of the Children error stamps without the red printing run. Error stamps on postally used cover are very rare. There are also four of the Farm Animal stamps. The overall postage amounted to 4.80 Dong. Fulda arrival cancel on the reverse. Rare Expressmail letter sent from Dien Bien Phu to Klewitz in August of 1980. It carries the HCM Museum set in blocks of four. There are also a number of the Farm Animal stamps. Spectacular mass franking of the Five Year Plan series on a large registered express mail envelope mailed to Klewitz in October of 1980. The letter carries a number of the perforation errors of the Five Year Plan stamps. There are also five of the 12 xu Farm Animal stamps. The overall postage amounted to 6.14 Dong. Very rare registered express mail letter sent to Klewitz in October of 1980. It carries the souvenir sheet for HCM’s 70th Birthday and a 20 xu Year of the Child that shows a small perforation error (missing perforation holes). Souvenir sheets on postally used cover are very rare. There is also a 10 xu Farm Animal stamp. The overall postage amounted to 4.82 Dong. Fulda arrival cancel on the reverse.

Another very rare registered express mail letter featuring one 6 xu stamps and one 12 xu Socialist Republic stamps with the post master perforation sent from Ho Chi Minh City  to West Germany sent in July of 1980. There is also one of the Farm Animal stamps. The overall postage amounted to 4.51 Dong slightly above the required postage of 4.40 Dong. Fulda arrival stamp on the reverse. Very large registered letter sent from Nguyen-Trai to Klewitz in May of 1982. It carries a mass franking of the 12 xu Train stamp plus other NVN stamps for an overall postage of 11.98 Dong (excluding the military free franks). There are two military free franks which were not valid for international mail due to the missing nominal. Nevertheless it appears that the postal clerk did not object to the use of these stamps. 20 xu Fram Animal stamp on the reverse. Green Fulda custom cachet on front.
