Rare local air mail letter sent in May of 1979 from Hanoi to HCM City. Given the 20xu franking it appears that the standard domestic letter rate changed from 12xu to 20 xu sometime in 1979. HCM City machine arrival cancel on the reverse.

Registered letter sent from Quan 5 (Cholon) to Klewitz in August of 1981. It carries the 10 xu flower stamp in many different color variations. It also carries the 1 Dong Farm Anima stamp. The overall postage amounted to 8.28 Dong. The zero money red free frank was required to print the registration label as it came out of the same machine. Unusual red cancel. There are two military free franks which were not valid for international mail due to the missing nominal.
