Air mail letter sent from Vung That to Budapest, Hungary in December of 1978. The letter is franked with 0.84D made up of six 12xu Chrysanthemum stamps plus one 12xu Space Conquest stamp.

International air mail letter sent in January of 1980 sent to France. The letter carries three of the Chrysanthemums and one of the Tay-Phu’o’ng Sculpture stamps for an overall postage 1.40D. Paris arrival cancel on the reverse.
Another rare registered express mail letter sent to Klewitz in January of 1980. The letter carries two of the Chrysanthemum series plus other NVN stamps from the period. Unusual hand-made version of the express mail label as apparently the printed version had run out.
Another very rare letter mailed to Klewitz in August of 1980. The letter features three of the 12 xu Einstein stamps, one being an error stamp without the black printing run. Errors stamps on postally used cover are very rare. There are also two of the Chrysamthemum stamps. The overall postage amounted to 4.80 Dong. Fulda arrival cancel on the reverse. Another rare registered express mail letter sent to Klewitz in November of 1978. It carries different color variations of the 5 xu and 10 xu stamp plus a block of four each of the 6 xu and 12 xu stamps of the other flower series with identical plate errors (red lines running across the bottom two stamps). Very rare registered express mail letter sent to Klewitz in October of 1980. It carries the souvenir sheet for HCM’s 70th Birthday and a 20 xu Year of the Child that shows a small perforation error (missing perforation holes). Souvenir sheets on postally used cover are very rare. There are also three of the 30 xu and one 20 xu Chrysanthemum stamps. The overall postage amounted to 4.82 Dong. Another very rare registered express mail letter featuring one 6 xu stamps and one 12 xu Socialist Republic stamps with the post master perforation sent from Ho Chi Minh City to West Germany sent in July of 1980. Very rare registered letter sent to Klewitz in June of 1981. The letter carries half of the im-perforated Fish set plus two of the im-perforated Chrysanthemum stamps for a total postage of 4.80 Dong. Im-perforated stamps on postally used cover are very rare.
Very rare registered express mail latter sent from Hanoi to Klewitz in July of 1980. The letter carries half of the im-perforated Orchid set plus Chrysanthemum stamps for an overall postage of 4.84 Dong. Im-perforated stamps on postally used cover are very rare. Fulda arrival cancel on the reverse.
Registered air mail letter send as a mixed currency franking from Ho Chi Minh City in April of 1986 to Klewitz. The letter carries stamps from the Chrysanthemum set that were still denominated in old Dong while all other stamps were denominated already in new Dong. The Le’Lo’i stamp is represented in both color variations and one of the shows the plate error of “missing apostrophe in AI” . Error stamps on postally used cover are very rare. The Vietnamese Government conducted a devaluation of the Dong on September 14th, 1985. This meant that all stamps issued prior to this date were only worth one tenth at the time of mailing. The overall postage hence amounted to 2.7 oD =0.27 nD. plus the stamps in new Dong (14D) plus the red free frank for 25D for 39.27 nD. Fragment of green Fulda custom cachet on front.
