Unified Vietnam, Chinese New Year of the Dog, January 1st, 1994, Michel Nr. 2568-2569; Two stamps in nominals of 400D and 6,000D were issued in perforation 13 and imperforate. The Chinese New Year actually began, according to the Chinese Calendar, on February 10th 1994 which is the issuance date that is reported by Klewitz. So the January issuance date stated by Michel may not be correct.

Registered air mail letter sent in March of 1994 from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz. The letter carries the perforated and imperforate Chinese New Year of the Dog set plus stamps from the Chinese New Year of the Rooster (imperforate), International Year of Space (imperforate) and Main Post Office Saigon sets for an overall postage of 26,200D. Imperforate stamps on postally used cover are very rare.
