Single franking of the 200D value on a local letter sent from Kien Giang to HCM City in April of 1992. HCM City machine arrive cancel on the reverse.

Another single franking of the 200D value on a local letter sent from the Australian Embassy in hanoi to HCM City in February of 1992.

Multiple franking of the 400D value (4) paying an overall postage of 1,600D on a domestic registered air mail letter (full contents preserved) sent from Ha Trung to Song Be in April of 1992. Being Cat transit cancel on the reverse.

Registered air mail letter sent in February of 1992 from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz. The letter carries perforated and imperforate Golden Heart stamps plus stamps from the Communist Party, Chess, Women Traditional Clothing (Imperforate) and the rare withdrawn Chu Van An stamp for an overall postage of 21,000 (including the red free frank for 300D). Postally used Chu Van An stamps used around the issuance date are not easy to find. Imperfroate stamps on postally used cover are very rare.

Registered air mail letter sent on December 10th, 1992 from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz. The letter carries the perforated Children Village set plus stamps from the Discovery of America II (souvenir-sheet) and Charity Organization Golden Heart sets for an overall postage of 19,400D.

Registered air mail letter sent in March of 1993 from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz. The letter carries the perforated and imperforate South East Asia Games stamps plus the Charity Organization Golden Heart and Motorcycle Racing (imperforate souvenir sheet) sets for an overall postage of 17,500D (including the red free frank for 3,700D). Imperforate stamps and souvenir-sheets on postally used letter are very rare.

Registered air mail letter sent in May of 1993 from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz. The letter carries the perforated USA World Cup (imperforate) plus stamps from the World Cup Italy, 500KV Power Line and Charity Organization Golden Heart sets for an overall postage of 16,800D (including the red free frank for 2,100D). Imperforate stamps on postally used cover are very rare.

Registered air mail letter sent in July of 1996 as a mixed currency franking from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz. The letter carries the entire Asian Attractions II set plus stamps from the Bird set from 1981; Postal Administration Center (imperforate), Charity Organization Golden Heart and Ministry of Post and Telecommunication sets. Imperforate stamps on postally used cover are very rare.The Bird stamps were still denominated in old Dong. On September 14th, 1985 the Vietnamese Government conducted a devaluation which devalued the old Dong by 10:1. This meant old stamps used after that date were only worth one tenth of their face value.  The overall postage of the letter therefore amounted to 0.80 oD :10 = 0.08 nD plus stamps already in new Dong (20,850nD) for a total of 20,850.08D.
