Unified Vietnam, Animals, 1981, Michel Nr. 1189-1196; Eight stamps with nominals of 30 xu (two stamps) 40 xu (two stamps) 50 x (two stamps), 60 xu and ! Dong were issued perforated 12.25:12 and imperforate.
A few plate errors are known to exist. Below is a mint block of four of one of the 50 xu stamps that shows a “broken V in Vietnam” on the bottom left stamp.

Large registered envelope mailed to Klewitz in June of 1982. It features a mass franking of the 50 xu National Assembly value of both print runs of this stamp. Two animal stamps on the reverse. The overall postage amounted to 12.88 Dong.

The letter features the entire Nutritional Day set plus the 2 Dong Total Liberation stamp that shows a very significant passer-shift of the yellow printing color.
