Unified Vietnam, 40 Years Troops of the Interior Ministry , August 30th, 1985, Michel Nr. M46; A single stamp without a nominal value and in perforation 10.75 was issued.

Here is the mint stamp

The stamp was not officially released imperforate, however a small number imperforate trial proofs/phase prints have come to market. Below is the imperforate black and red print phase of the stamp.

The stamp has become known with a black overprint “Tem Noi Bo” which basically means “Stamp of the Interior Department” and suggests that the overprinted stamps were intended to be used for official mail. The overprinted stamp has never been seen on any official mail so it is unclear if the overprint is genuine or bogus.

Single franking of the stamp on a local letter sent by a student attending the “Military Region 9 Technical School TKTQK9” and sent from Vinh Long to HCM City in July of 1987.

Single franking of the stamp on a domestic air mail letter sent from Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province to HCM City in March of 1987.

Single franking of the stamp on a local letter sent from Hanoi to HCM City in February of 1987.

Rare multiple franking of the stamp on a domestic air mail letter representing the second weight level and sent from My Luong (small post office) to HCM City in September of 1987.

Registration Nr. 103945
