Unified Vietnam, 35 Years Postal Service, August 15th, 1980, Michel Nr. 1119-1122; Four stamps with nominals of 12 xu, 20 xu, 50 xu and 1 Dong were issued in perforation 12.5.

Registered air mail letter sent from Ho Chi Minh City in October of 1980 to Klewitz. It carries the entire set plus other NVN stamps for a total postage of 3 Dong. Partial green Fulda custom cachet.

Mixed ranking of the 20 xu Postal Service stamps (3) together with stamps from the Year of the Child set paying an overall postage of 6.60D on a registered international air mail letters ent from Hoa Binh to Klewitz in Germany.

Rare registered express mail letter sent to Klewitz in October of 1980. It carries the entire set plus some other NVN stamps for an overall postage of 4.81 Dong. Fulda arrival cancel on the reverse. Green Fulda custom cachet on front. Unusual hand-made express mail label.

Registered letter carrying the entire set plus other NVN stamps for an overall postage of 7.62 Dong. The zero money red free frank was required to produce the R-label that came out of the same machine.  Unusual sheet numbers on top of the selvage of all stamps in the set. Very rarely seen on cover. Green Fulda custom cachet on front.

Registered air mail latter sent in December of 1981 to Klewitz. It shows six pairs of the lotus flower stamp in the rare post master perforations: 9.5, 11, 14, 15, 5-6 and 9.5. It also carries two shads of the single rose stamp. 50 xu Postal Service stamp on the back. The overall postage amounted to 8.80 Dong  (including the 3 Dong free frank on front). Unusual red cancel. Green Fulda custom cachet on front.

Registered Letter sent from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz in July of 1981. The letter carries half of the perforated Flower set plus the 50 xu and 1 Dong Postal Service stamps for an overall postage of 7.93 Dong (including the red free frank of 4.5 Dong). Green Fulda custom cachet on front.

Registered Letter sent from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz in July of 1981. The letter carries the other half of the perforated Flower set plus the 12 xu Postal Service stamp for an overall postage of 8.02 Dong (including the red free frank of 4.8 Dong). Green Fulda custom cachet on front.

Registered air mail letter sent in June of 1986 as a mixed currency franking from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz. The letter carries stamps that were still denominated in old Dong (National Games, Hymenoptera, Day of the Post) and new Dong (National Assembly, Reconstruction, Dam Building).  The Vietnamese Government conducted a devaluation of the Dong on September 14th, 1985. This meant that all stamps issued prior to this date were only worth one tenth at the time of mailing. The overall postage hence amounted to  13.32 oD =1.33nD. plus the stamps in new Dong (24 nD) plus the red free frank for 17 nD for 42.33nD. Fragment of green Fulda custom cachet on front.

Registered air mail letter sent in June of 1986 as a mixed currency franking from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz. The letter carries stamps that were still denominated in old Dong (Day of the Post, World Communication Year, Hymenoptera) and new Dong ( Reconstruction, Dam Building).  The Vietnamese Government conducted a devaluation of the Dong on September 14th, 1985. This meant that all stamps issued prior to this date were only worth one tenth at the time of mailing. The overall postage hence amounted to  4.52 oD =0.45 nD. plus the stamps in new Dong (15 nD) plus the red free frank for 16 nD for 33.45nD. Fragment of green Fulda custom cachet on front.
