Errors on South Vietnamese stamps are rare as they were mostly produced in developed countries in Europe or Asia where the controls were much more sophisticated than in Vietnam resulting in fewer errors coming to market. Here is a rare perforation error on the 70D stamp.

Single franking of the 10D stamp paying the special discounted military tariff on a letter sent on April 22nd, 1975 by a member of the military (KBC 3058/Airborne Division in Saigon) to a civilian in Bien Hoa. This was a mere 8 days prior to the Fall of Saigon on April 30th, 1975. Cancelled with the “mute” Quan Buu machine cancel. Black circular KBC cachet on front.

Single franking of the 10D Farmer’s Day stamp sent in April of 1974 by a member of the National Police (Canh Sat Quoc Gia) located at the police headquarter (Bo Chi Huy) in the field to a civilian in Saigon. Cancelled by the “mute” Quan Buu military cancel.
