South Vietnam, Day of Friendship with Allied Fighters , January 28th, 1974, Michel Nr. SVN 546-549; Four stars in nominals of 8D, 15D (2) and 60D were issued in perforation 12.5:12.

Here is the mint set.

A few of the prepared but not issued stamps were left imperforate and sold this way after the war. Here is the set of these imperforate trial proofs.

Multiple franking of the 8D value (2) paying an overall postage of 16D on a domestic air mail letter (full contents preserved) sent from Saigon to a member of the military (KBC 4027/National Military Academy in Da Lat) in June of 1974.

Single franking of the 15D value on a domestic air mail letter sent from Can Tho to Gia Dinh in February of 1974.

Very rare registered express air mail letter carrying two full booklet strips of the 3D Mobile Post Office stamps plus stamps from the Allied Fighters, Historical Sites, 100 Years UPU, Ocean Fish and Development Aid sets paying an overall postage of 780D. Fulda arrival cancel on front. The editor has never seen another letter that carries a full booklet as postage. Ex Klewitz.

Mixed franking of the 15D and 80D Tru’ng Sisters stamps together with stamps from the Allied Fighters and Fisheries  paying an overall postage of 205D on an international air mail letter sent from Saigon to Switzerland in 1974.

Mixed franking featuring a block of four of the hard to find 8D Tru’ung Sisters value on cover, together with stamps from the Allied Fighters and Vietnamese Airways sets paying an overall postage of 117D on an international air mail letter sent in May of  1974 from Saigon to France.
