These stamps were not officially released imperforate, however, a small number of imperforate trial proofs have come to market.

A printing error is known tin the 2D stamp on which there is a blue comma at the bottom of the letter H in CHINH and a piece of the persons hat is missing (bottom right stamp).

Mixed franking of the Civil Self Defense and Development of Country stamps paying a tariff of 10D on a domestic letter sent from Hue to Saigon in January of 1974. That was the military standard letter rate at the time but since the envelope contained no indication that the letter involved a member of the miltary (i.e.KBC cachet) it was treated as a standard domestic letter. The letter was judged to be deficient in postage as indicated by the black “T” hand stamp in front. As a result a D10 postage due stamp was added upon arrival in order to collect the missing postage along with the assessed penalty.

Single franking of the 6D Civil Self Defense stamp paying the military rate in force at the time and sent in October of 1972 by a civilian in Cong Ly to a member of the military police (Ban Quan Canh) located in Vung Tau. The military police served in both a police capacity and a solider capacity, usually as guards or interrogators with army units out on operations.

Single franking of the 20D value on a domestic philatelic letter sent by the Indonesian Peace Keeping Force located in Can Thi to a Major in Saigon. Sent in April of 1973.
