South Vietnam; Postage Due Stamps 1955 (Michel Nr. P  7); This postage due stamp was printed in sheets of four panes of 50 (5 rows of 10 stamps each). In the lower right pane of the large sheet in Position 28 (the eight stamp in the 3rd row seen from the left) occurs an interesting plate error that shows a broken „2“.

The error only occurs on a partial printing as it is pretty scarce. It took the author almost 20 years to assemble matching pairs that could prove the plate error. The scans below show one canceled and one mint pair showing the plate error. The error is also known in the imperforate variety.
