North Vietnam, Wild Animals, June 24th, 1965, Michel Nr. 369-374; Six values were issued with nominals of 12 xu (four stamps) , 20 xu and 50 xu. The stamps were released in perforation 12.0 and imperforate.

Here is a registered letter mailed to Klewitz on the First Day of Issuance bearing the entire set. The overall postage amounted to 1.52 Dong. A standard 20 gram registered letter to West Germany cost 1.10 Dong, so this letter must have been heavier than the standard. Klewitz’ associates were not known to waste much postage!

Mixed franking of the 1 D Woschod value together with six Five Year Plan, World Union Conference and three Wild Animal stamps paying an overall postage of 1.78D on this rare registered letter sent from Gia-Loc (small post office) to Switzerland.

Very rare express mail letter mailed to Klewitz in April of 1970. It features four of the imperforate stamps in the set (some twice) plus some perforated North Vietnamese postage. Imperforate stamps on postally used covers are very rare. The overall franking amounted to 2.02 Dong. A standard 20 gram registered express mail letter to West Germany cost 1.60 Dong, so this letter must have been heavier than the standard. Klewitz’ associates were not known to waste much postage!

Very rare express mail letter sent to Klewitz featuring the entire imperforate set. On the reverse there are two imperforate values of the wild animal set from the same year plus an imperforate 50 xu stamp of the folk dance issue. Imperforate stamps on postally used cover are very rare. The overall postage amounted to 2.18 Dong which is on account of the registration and express mail fee.
