North Vietnam, Medicinal Plants, February 8th, 1975, Michel Nr. 795-802; Eight values were issued in the nominals of 12 xu (three stamps), 30 xu, 40 xu, 50 xu, 60 xu and 1 Dong were issued in perforation 11.5:12.0 and imperforate.

Rare single franking of one of the 12xu values on a local letter (full contents preserved) sent from Hanoi to Xuan Hoa in April of 1977.

Rare single franking of the 40xu value on a letter (full contents preserved) sent to Moscow, Soviet Union April of 1976. Moscow arrival cancel on the reverse.

Rare multiple franking of the 40xu value paying an 80xu postage on a postcard sent to Budapest, Hungary.

Single franking of the 50xu v value on an international letter sent in October of 1977 from Yen Thuy to Czechoslovakia.

Multiple franking of the Medical Plant set together with stamps from the Sunflowers, Unified Vietnam and Philaserdica sets paying an overall postage of 11.36D (including the red free frank for 5D) on a registered international air mail letter sent from HCM City to Hong Kong in June of 1981.

Rare registered express mail letter sent to Klewitz from July of 1975. The letter carries some of the perforated set plus parts of the 1975 medicinal plant set im-perforated. Imperforate stamps on postally used cover are very rare. The overall postage amounted to 3.22 Dong which appears to be higher than the required tariff for a standard 20 gram registered express mail letter (2.10 Dong). Fulda arrival cancel on the reverse.

Rare registered express mail letter sent to Klewitz from July of 1975. The letter carries the 60 xu value of the perforated set plus parts of the 1975 medicinal plant set im-perforated. Imperforate stamps on postally used cover are very rare. The overall postage amounted to 3.20 Dong which appears to be higher than the required tariff for a standard 20 gram registered express mail letter (2.10 Dong). Fulda arrival cancel on the reverse.

Mixed franking of the 40xu Birds and 40xu MedicalPlant stamps paying an 80xu postage on a postcard sent to Hungary in 1976.

Mixed franking of two of the 40xu Medicinal Plant values together with a 60xu Fish stamp paying an overall postage of 1.40D on a letter to Sweden in 1977.

Mixed franking of the 40xu Chrysantemum stamps together with the 40xu Media Plant stamp and 1Dong Nguyen Du stamp paying an overall postage of 2.20D on a letter to Sweden.

Mixed franking of two of the Medicinal Plant stamps together with the 12xu HCM stamp and 20 Xu October Revolution stamp paying an overall postage of 1.22D on a postcard to Switzerland sent in 1976.

Very rare large letter sent by registered mail in February of 1978 to Essen, West Germany. The letter was franked with the souvenir-sheet from the second printing, a range of NLF stamps and other NVN stamps (including the 50xu Medicinal Plant stamp) from the period. The 1975 Ho Chi Minh stamps were released by the National Liberation Front in South Vietnam and they were denominated in South Vietnamese Dong, which was not compatible to the North Vietnamese Dong. As a result they were not allowed as postage in North Vietnam. This prohibition was obviously disregard by the postal clerk in this case as the NLF HCM stamp were cancelled along with the other NVN stamps.

Another, very rare registered letter featuring the souvenir-sheet on woven paper and lighter frame colors along with a number of other NVN stamps (including two of the 1D Flower stamps) for an overall postage of 6.82D. The letter was sent from Hanoi to Essen in West Germany in February of 1978.

Letter sent by Xunhasaba, the official philatelic distribution agency of Vietnam to Klewitz in May of 1976. It carries the 40 xu stamp of the medicinal plant series and features an overall postage of 1.40 Dong.

Mixed franking of two of the 40xu Medical Plant stamps together with 2xu Poland and 1D Aircraft Defense stamp for an overall postage of 1.82D on an air-mail letter to Switzerland in January of 1976.

Very rare registered express mail letter sent from Hai Phong to Klewitz in June of 1979. It features half of the im-perforated prehistoric animal set plus three stamps from the medicinal plant set for an overall postage of 4.80 Dong.  Imperforate stamps on postally used cove are very rare. Fulda arrival cancel on the reverse.

Another very rare registered express mail letter sent in September of 1980 to Klewitz. The letter carries one of the Children error stamps without the red printing run. Error stamps on postally used cover are very rare. There is also the 50 xu Medicinal Plant set. The overall postage amounted to 4.80 Dong. Fulda arrival cancel on the reverse. Spectacular mass franking of the Five Year Plan series on a large registered express mail envelope mailed to Klewitz in October of 1980. The letter carries a number of the perforation errors of the Five Year Plan stamps. There is also one of the 12 xu Medicinal Plant stamps. The overall postage amounted to 6.14 Dong. Hand-made express mail label using a typewriter. Fulda arrival cancel on the reverse.
