North Vietnam, Agricultural Economy August 25th, 1970, Michel Nr. 627; A single stamp in a 12 xu nominal was issued perforated 11.0. The inscription below reads: “One worker, One Hectar, 5 Tons of Raw Rice, Two Pigs”

Here is the mint stamp:

This stamp was not officially released imperforate however a very small number of imperforate trial proofs have come to market. Here is one of them.

Printing errors did occur on this issue. Below is a pair of mint stamps the show a significant passer-shift of the blue color to the left.

Below are two of the alternative design that were submitted by a stamp designer to postal authorities but ultimately got rejected. These hand drawn essays are one of a kind and measure 6 cm by 4 cm. Partially perforated by hand.

Rare registered express mail letter sent to Klewitz in February of 1971. The letter features the the 12 xu stamp plus three stamps from the im-perforated Home and People set from 1969. Im-perforated stamps on postally used cover are very rare. The overall postage amounted to 1.65 Dong which was a  tad above the required tariff for a standard 20 gram registered express mail cover to West Germany.
