North Vietnam, 25. Anniversary of the National Resistance, May 5th, 1972, Michel Nr. 691-694; Four stamps all in a 12 xu nominal were issued with perforation 11.0.

These stamps were not officially issued im-perforated but some imperforate trial proofs have come to market. Here are three of them in the issued colors:

Here is a similar pair, however this time there is some vertical perforation however misplaced:

Other errors did occur. Here is a pair that shows a significant diagonal paper fold across the two stamps:

Another paper fold error. In this cases there were two paper folds. One in-between the horizontal margin that ultimately caused a small perforation error and one going diagonally across the two bottom stamps.

Very rare letter featuring the entire set and sent to Klewitz in September of 1973. The letter also features three im-perforated values of the poisonous snake set. Im-perforated stamps on postally used cover are very rare. The overall postage amounted to 2.00 Dong which is most likely in excess of the required tariff of 1.00 Dong. The letter was initially signed to be sent by registered mail (Tariff of 1.60 Dong), however that did not take place. Hannover (PA Han 3) and Fulda arrival cancels on the reverse.

Very rare registered express mail letter sent to Klewitz in March of 1979. It carries parts of the national resistance set and im-perforated space conquest set. Imperforate stamps on postally used cover are very rare. There are also some of the Total Liberation stamps on the reverse. The overall postage amounted to 4.22 Dong. Fulda arrival cancel on the reverse.

Registered letter sent from Nguyen Trai to Klewitz in April of 1982. The letter carries three of the 2 Dong Nutrition Day stamps with the top left stamp showing the plate error “half-moon in emblem”. Plate errors on postally used cover are very rare. National resistance stamps on front. The overall postage amounted to 8.29 Dong. Green Fulda custom cachet on front.

Air mail letter mailed on May of 1972 carrying one of the 12xu National Resistance plus one of the 40 xu 3,000 Aircraft-Shot-Down stamps for an overall postage of 52xu.
