North Vietnam, 20. Anniversary of the Liberation of Hanoi, October 10th, 1974, Michel Nr. 776-777; Two stamps, both with a 12 xu nominal were issued perforated 11.0. The stamps were printed together in the same sheet and were hence attached to each other.

Rare local letter (with content) from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City from July, 1976. 12 xu was the correct postage at the time.

Rare local letter but this time sent from Hanoi to Jena in East Germany. The domestic letter arte and the international tariff to Eastern countries was identical as this envelope nicely shows.

Rare local letter (full content preserved) sent to Ho Chi Minh City in October of 1975. Two different HCM City machine arrival cancels on the reverse.

Mixed franking of the 12 xu air defense stamp (2), the Liberation of Hanoi set and the 3xu HCM 81st Birthday (2) paying an overall postage of 54xu on an international air mail letter sent from Hanoi to East Germany in October of 1974.

Very rare letter sent to Klewitz in January of 1975 featuring a strip of four of the stamps plus some im-perforated bird stamps. Imperforate stamps on postally used cover are very rare. The overall postage amounted to 1.98 Dong which appears to be in excess of the required tariff (1.00 Dong base letter fee plus 50 xu express mail fee). Fulda arrival cancel on the reverse.

Mixed ranking of one of the 12xu values together with two 3xu “Poland” stamps on a local letter from Hanoi to Saigon for an overall postage of 18xu. The letter was sent in January of 1976. HCM City machine arrival cancel on the reverse.

Mixed franking of the Dien Bien Phu set together with the Women Movement and Liberation of Hanoi sets paying an overall postage of 72 xu on a domestic letter sent from Quan 5 to Him City in July of 1981.
