These stamps were not officially released im-perforated but a handful of im-perforated trial proofs have come to market. Rare.

International letter featuring a single franking of the 12xu Lenin stamps on a local letter sent in February of 1982 from Vung Tau to East Germany (ex Schwirtz).

Very rare registered express mail letter sent to Klewitz in July of 1970 featuring the entire set plus two im-perforated stamps of the 1963 fish set (20 xu and 30 xu). Im-perforated stamps on postally used cover are very rare. The overall postage amounted to 1.62 which was just a tad of the required postal tariff of 1.60 Dong. Fulda arrival cancel on the reverse.

Mixed currency franking mailed registered by Xunhasaba using the old 2,000D Handicraft stamp from 1958 (which was devalued by 1,000:1 on March 1st, 1959 and hence only worth 2 Dong at the time of  mailing) together with the 40xu Aircraft Shot Down and 1 Dong Lenin stamp for an overall postage of 3.40D.

Mixed franking of the 50 xu Sea Creature stamp together with the 1 Dong Lenin paying an overall postage of 1.50D on an air mail letter sent from Hai Phong to Switzerland in 1977.
