North Vietnam, 1. Anniversary of the Death of Salvador Allende and Pablo Neruda, October 15th, 1974, Michel Nr. 778-779; Two stamps, both in 12 xu nominals, were issued in perforation 11.0.

Here is the mint set:

These stamps were not officially released im-perforated, however, handful of im-perforated trial proofs have come to market:

Very rare local letter sent in September of 1975, shortly after the fall of Saigon, from Nam Sao (small post office) to Saigon. Most local letters were destroyed in the multi-decadal war, destroyed by the tropical climate or by recycling due to raw material shortages.

Another, very rare local letter this time sent in July of 1975 from Phan Thiet (small post office) to Saigon. Old Saigon arrival cancel (without M.N. added) on the reverse.

Very rare express mail letter sent to Klewitz in January of 1975. Apart from the set the letter also carries some im-perforated stamps from the bird set. Imperforate stamps on postally used cover are very rare. The overall postage of the letter amounted to 1.68 Dong which appears to slightly above the required tariff of 1.50 Dong for a standard express mail letter to West Germany.
