Indochina, Marshall Petain Stamps with additional overprint RF, July 15th, 1946, Michel Nr. IND 349-350; Two stamps that were issued in 1941 in France but did not reach Indochina due to the disruptions caused by the war were overprinted in 1946 with “RF” (Republique Francaise) and released in Indochina.

Very rare registered letter featuring the Marshall Plan set together with the 25C Domestic Scenes II stamp paying an overall postage of 60C on a domestic registered letter that the well known philatelist Jacques Dessrousseaux mailed to himself in Saigon. Saigon arrival cancel a day later on the reverse.

Mixed franking of the 50C value together with 10C Marshall Petain overprinted with RF and the 25C Domestic Scenes II stamps (2) paying an overall postage of 1.10P. This was judged to be insufficient and as a result French postage due stamps in the amount of 32 French Francs were added in Lyon in March of 1947.
