Multiple franking of the 4/5C stamps (4) paying an overall postage of 3.2C on a domestic letter sent from Phu-Qui to Can Tho in August of 1932. The stamps were canceled with the rare “Poste Rurale, Coba” rural cancel. The letter was underpaid and so a triangular postage due cachet stating “5 Taxe Minimum” was struck on front and three postage due stamps amounting to 5C were attached to the front upon delivery. Vinh and Saigon transit cancels on the reverse.

 

Multiple franking of the 4/5C stamps (2) in shape of a gutter-pair together with the 1/2C Domestic Scences II stamp paying an overall postage of 2.1C on a domestic letter sent from Phu-Qui to Can Tho in August of 1932. The stamps were canceled with the rare “Poste Rurale, Coba” rural cancel. The letter was underpaid and so a black “T” postage due cachet in a triangle was struck on front indicating that additional postage was due upon delivery. Two 3C postage due stamps were added in Can Tho also in shape of a gutter pair and cancelled with the a red “T” hand stamp that was also struck on the envelope. Vinh and Saigon transit cancels as well as another strike of the rural Coba cancel on the reverse.

Here is a letter that was sent from India to Baria Province in Cochinchine. The letter was not franked with any stamps on sending which resulted in a black “T” postage due cachet being applied on front. On arrival one 4C Domestic Landscape and two 8C Temple Sculpture postage due stamps paying an overall penalty of 20C. Various transit and arrival cancels on the reverse.
