South Vietnam, 1.Anniversary of the Establishment of the Independence Palace in Saigon, September 7th, 1955, Michel Nr. SVN 101; A single stamp with a nominal of 4P was issued in perforation 13. Based on the trial proofs that were produced for this issue it appears that postal authorities initially intended to issue a 5P stamp in a different design and were very far along in the production of these 5P stamps.

These stamps were not officially released imperforate, however a small number of imperforate trial proofs have come to market. Rare.
