Registered air mail letter sent in November of 1987 from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz. The letter carries five of the Invalid stamps plus stamps from the Corals and Butterflies sets. There are also five military free franks. The ones without a nominal were not valid for international postage but were nevertheless accepted by the postal clerk. Registered air mail letter sent in March of 1988 from Ho Chi Minh Ciyt to Klewitz. The letter carries half of the perforated Roses set in matching sheet corner pieces with sheet numbers plus stamps from the Corals and Cham Culture sets for an overall postage of 1,277D (including the red free frank for 957D).  Fragment of the green Fulda custom cachet on front.

Registered air mail letter sent in April of 1988 as a mixed currency franking from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz. The letter carries the other half of  perforated Rose set in matching sheet corner pieces with sheet numbers plus stamps from the October Revolution, Corals, Humane Living and Motor Cycles sets. The Motor Cycle stamps were still denominated in old Dong while all other stamps were already denominated in new Dong.  The Vietnamese Government conducted a devaluation of the Dong on September 14th, 1985. This meant that all stamps issued prior to this date were only worth one tenth at the time of mailing. The overall postage hence amounted to  4 oD =0.40 nD. plus the stamps in new Dong (209 nD) plus the red free frank for 1,091 nD for 1,300.40 nD. Fragment of the green Fulda custom cachet on front.
