Unified Vietnam, 90.Birthday of President Ho Chi Minh, May 19th, 1980, Michel Nr. 1101-1102; Tow stamps with nominals of 12 xu and 40 xu were issued in perforation 10.75.

Rare single franking of the 12 xu value on a local letter sent from HCM City to Xi That Gach in June of 1980. Red arrival cancel on the reverse.

Registered letter sent from Quan 5 (Cholon) to Klewitz in December of 1981. It carries the set twice (front and back) and two stamps from the Independence set with sheet numbers. Stamp with sheet numbers on postally used cover are rare. There is also a military free frank issued in 1970. Since it did not carry a nominal value it was not valid for international postage but it appears that the postal clerk was not aware of that. The overall postage (including ther free frank that was worth 12 xu) amounted to 8.32 Dong.

Rare registered express mail letter sent to Klewitz in December of 1980. It carries the entire set plus the 3 xu value of the Nguyen Trai series from 1962. Ho Chi Minh stamp on the reverse. The overall postage amounted to 5.12. Unusual hand-made express mail label. Fulda arrival cancel on the reverse. Green Fulda custom cachet on front.

Registered letter sent from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz in July of 1980. The letter carries the entire Lenin set. The 1 Dong stamps show the color variance of an grey-ocre star instead of an orange star. There are also three 10 xu Flower stamps in different color variations. Error stamps on postally used cover are very rare. HCM Birthday stamp on the reverse. The overall postage amounted to 3 Dong. Green Fulda custom cachet on front.

Another very rare air mail letter mailed from Nguyen Trai to Klewitz in September of 1983 featuring the other half of the im-perforated Soccer set plus some perforated stamps from the same set. There is also a 30 xu HCM stamp that shows a too heavy red color obscuring the words “Buu Chinh” and the nominal value.  Im-perforated stamps and error stamps on postally used cover are very rare. HCM Birthday stamp in front. The overall postage amounted to 6.53 Dong (including the red free frank for 2.21 Dong).

Registered letter sent from Nguyen Trai to Klewitz in May of 1982. It features a pair of the Militia stamps in the Post Master Perforations 9.5  (stamps on the left side) that shows the woman looking towards her right. The right pair in perforation 11 shows the woman looking straight ahead. The letter also carries four of the military free frank issued in 1976. Military free franks were not valid for international postage due to their lacking nominal value, however it appears that the postal clerk was not familiar with this regulation. HCM Birthday stamps on the front. The over-all postage amounted to 8.72 Dong. Green Fulda custom cachet on front.

Registered letter sent from Nguyen Trai to Klewitz in November of 1982. The letter carries both Women Union sets plus other NVN stamps for an overall postage of 20.74 Dong. HCM Birthday stamp in front. Unusual red cancel. Green Fulda custom cachet on front.

Registered air mail letter sent in November of 1984 from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz. The letter carries the smaller perforated souvenir-sheet (8.2×8.0) and the HO Chi Minh Birthday set plus stamps from the Union Confederation and Union Congress stamps for an overall postage of 60.24D. Souvenir-Sheets on postally used cover are very rare. Green Fulda custom cachet on front.

Registered air mail letter sent in April of 1985 from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz. The letter carries stamps from the Intercosmos, Ocean Fish, Karl Marx, Friendship, HCM Birthday and Chrysanthemum sets for an overall postage of 72.08D. Fragment of the green Fulda custom cachet.
