Unified Vietnam, Sea Snails, December 30th, 1988, Michel Nr. 1958-1965, Block 64; Seven stamps in nominals of 10D (two stamps), 20D (two stamps), 30D (two stamps) and 50D were issued in perforation 12.75 and imperforate. There is also a souvenir-sheet with a 80D nominal that was only issued perforated 12.75.

Registered air mail letter sent in March of 1989 from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz. The letter carries perforated Sea Snails stamps plus stamp from the Parrot (imperforate), Hydro Stations, Of-shore Oil Production and Cuban Revolution sets for an overall postage of 6,380D (including the red free frank for 2,860D). Imperforate stamps on postally used cover are very rare.

Registered air mail letter sent in March of 1989 from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz. The letter carries perforated Sea Snails stamps and the souvenir-sheet plus stamp from the Dong Da and Hydro Station sets for an overall postage of 6,370D (including the red free frank for 2,130D). Souvenir-Sheets on postally used cover are very rare. 

Registered air mail letter sent in March of 1989 as a mixed currency franking from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz. The letter carries perforated and imperforate stamps from the Sea Snail set plus stamps from the Cambodian National Day, Parrots (imperforate), Tourism (imperforate), Water Lilies (imperforate), Union Congress and Interior Ministry Troops (imperforate). Imperforate stamps on postally used cover are very rare. The Interior Ministry Troop stamps  were still denominated in old Dong while all other stamps were already denominated in new Dong.  The Vietnamese Government conducted a devaluation of the Dong on September 14th, 1985. This meant that all stamps issued prior to this date were only worth one tenth at the time of mailing. The overall postage hence amounted to 20 oD =  2 nD. plus the stamps in new Dong (930 nD) plus the red free frank for 5,720 nD for 6,652 nD. Green Fulda custom cachet on front.

The letter carries the perforated Helikopters set plus stamps from the Reforestation (imperforate), Mushroom, Cambodian National Day and Sea Shell sets. Imperforate stamps on postally used cover are very rare. The Reforestation stamps were still denominated in old Dong while all other stamps were already denominated in new Dong.  The Vietnamese Government conducted a devaluation of the Dong on September 14th, 1985. This meant that all stamps issued prior to this date were only worth one tenth at the time of mailing. The overall postage hence amounted to 1.20 oD = 0.12 nD. plus the stamps in new Dong (875 nD) plus the red free frank for 5,880 nD for 6,755.12nD. Fragment of the green Fulda custom cachet on front.

The letter carries the various color variations of the USSR Friendship stamps plus stamps from the Sea Shell set for an overall postage of 3,130D (including the red free frank for 2,480D). Registered air mail letter sent in July of 1989 as a mixed currency franking from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz. The letter carries perforated and imperforate stamps from the Turtle set plus the stamp from the Turtle souvenir-sheet and stamps from the Sea Shells and French Revolution I and II  sets for an overall postage of 9,030D (including the red free frank for 7,620D). Imperforate stamps and stamps from souvenir-shets on postally used cover are very rare.

The letter carries perforated stamps from theINDIA Stamp Exhibition set plus stamps from the Five Year Plan (mis-perforated), Sea Snails and Dong Da sets. Error stamps on postally used cover are very rare. The Five Year Plan  stamps  were still denominated in old Dong while all other stamps were already denominated in new Dong.  The Vietnamese Government conducted a devaluation of the Dong on September 14th, 1985. This meant that all stamps issued prior to this date were only worth one tenth at the time of mailing. The overall postage hence amounted to 0.48 oD =  0.05 nD. plus the stamps in new Dong (2,281 nD) plus the two red free franks for 6,240 nD for 8,521.05 nD. Green Fulda custom cachet on front.
