The letter carries the imperforate souvenir-sheet, some Flat Fish and overprinted stamps for an overall postage of 48.60 (including the red free frank for 10xu). Souvenir-sheets, especially if the are imperforate, are very rare on postally used cover.

Registered air mail letters ent in June of 1984 from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz. The letter carries eight of the 50xu Union Congress stamps plus stamps from the Flat Fish and Olympic Winter Games stamps for an overall postage of 210.7D (including the red free frank for 168.6D). The Flat Fish stamps are imperforate and the Union Congress stamps carry passer-shifts and plate errors detailed above (i.e. during building). Registered air mail letter featuring a mixed currency franking and sent in June of 1985 from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz. The letter carries two of the 5D Peace Meeting stamps, imperforate Flat Fish stamps and other contemporary NVN stamps for an overall franking of 244.62D (including the red free frank for 192D). There are also four Reunification stamps from 1958 valued at 200D that were devalued in March of 1959 by 1,000:1 and hence were only worth 20xu at the time of mailing. So, the overall postage of the letter amounted to 244.82D. Imperforate stamps on postally used cover are very rare. Partial green Fulda custom cachet on front.

The letter carries the perforated Correggio souvenir-sheet plus stamps from the Communication Year, Flat Fish, Karl Marx and Production and Defense sets for an overall postage of 45.40D. The Karl Marx stamps are represented in two different color shades (including the rare orange-brown one). Souvenir-Sheets on postally used cover are very rare. Imperforate stamps on postally used cover are very rare. The Flat Fish and National Games stamps were still denominated in old Dong while all other stamps were denominated in new Dong. The Vietnamese Government conducted a devaluation of the Dong on September 14th, 1985. This meant that all stamps issued prior to this date were only worth one tenth at the time of mailing. The overall postage hence amounted to  18.30 oD =1.83 nD. plus the stamps in new Dong (14 nD) for 15.83 nD.

The Flat Fish stamps were still denominated in old Dong while all other stamps were already denominated in new Dong.  The Vietnamese Government conducted a devaluation of the Dong on September 14th, 1985. This meant that all stamps issued prior to this date were only worth one tenth at the time of mailing. The overall postage hence amounted to  2.4 oD =0.24 nD. plus the stamps in new Dong (51 nD) plus the red free frank for 297 nD for 348.24 nD.

The letter carries eight of the Year of the Cat stamps plus stamps from the August Revolution (souvenir-sheet), Flat Fish (imperforate) Reconstruction and Communist Party sets. Imperforate stamps and souvenir-sheets on postally used cover are very rare. The August Revolution stamps are in the yet unlisted perforation 10.75. The August Revolution and Flat Fish stamps were still denominated in old Dong while all other stamps were already denominated in new Dong.  The Vietnamese Government conducted a devaluation of the Dong on September 14th, 1985. This meant that all stamps issued prior to this date were only worth one tenth at the time of mailing. The overall postage hence amounted to 10.70 oD =1.07 nD. plus the stamps in new Dong (164 nD) plus the red free frank for 422 nD for 587.07 nD.
