Unified Vietnam, Cambodian National Day, January 7th, 1989, Michel Nr. 1989-1990; Two stamps with nominals of 100D and 500D were issued in perforation 13:13.25.

Here is the mint set. There were two color variations on the 100D value (light-yellow and dark yellow background).

These stamps were not officially released imperforate however a number of imperforate trial proofs has come to market. Belo are pairs of them with matching bottom right corner selvage.

Multiple franking of the 100D value paying an overall postage of 200D on a local letter sent in January of 1992 to Him City. Binh Thanh transit and HCM City machine arrival cancel on the reverse.

Multiple franking of the 500D value (2) paying an overall postage of 1,000D on an international air mail letters ent from Hanoi to Germany in March of 1991.

Mixed franking of eight 500D National Day plus one 100D Telecommuncation stamp paying an overall postage of 4,100D on an international air mail letter sent from Hanoi to France in October of 1989.

Mixed franking of two 2,000D Hydro Station stamps plus one 1,000D HCM Birthday and 500D National Holiday stamps paying an overall postage of 5,500D on an international air mail letter sent by the Vietnamese stamp agency Xunhasaba to the Netherlands.

Registered air mail letter sent in April of 1990 from HCM City to Hong Kong. The letter carries the National Holiday Cambodia and Victory of Dong Da sets paying an overall postage of 14,660D (including the red free frank for 11,260D).

Registered air mail letter sent in March of 1989 from Ho Chi Minh to Klewitz. The letter carries two sets of the Cambodian National Day stamps plus stamps from the Parrots (imperforate), Hydro Stations, Fruits and Off-shore Oil Production sets for an overall postage of 6,400D (including the red free frank for 2,000D). Imperforate stamps on postally used cover are very rare.

The letter carries a sets of the Cambodian National Day stamps plus stamps from the Water Lilies (imperforate), INDIA Stamp Exhibition, Postal Union and Off-shore Oil Production sets for an overall postage of 6,525D (including the red free frank for 3,715D). Imperforate stamps on postally used cover are very rare.

Registered air mail letter sent on March 27th, 1989 from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz. The letter carries the other half of the perforated Helikopters set and perforated souvenir-sheet plus stamps from the USSR Friendship Treaty, Re Cross (imperforate), Mutual Economic Aid, Child Inoculation, Cambodian National Day, INDIA Stamp Exhibition and Tourism sets for an overall postage of 6,280D (including the red free frank for 3,975D). Registered air mail letter sent on April 2nd, 1989 from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz. The letter carries part of the perforated Turtle set plus stamps from the Children Drawings, INDIA Stamp Exhibition, Cambodian National Day and Ton Du’c Thang (imperforate) for an overall postage of 6,670D (including the red free frank for 3,770D). Imperforate stamps on postally used cover are very rare. Green Fulda custom cachet on the reverse.

Registered air mail letter sent in July of 1989 as a mixed currency franking from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz. The letter carries imperforate Ice Dancing stamps plus stamps from the Bach Dang (imperforate), Youth Festival, Hydro Stations, Cambodian National Day and Ton Du’c Thang sets. Errors stamps and souvenir-sheets on postally used cover are very rare. The Youth Festival stamps  were still denominated in old Dong while all other stamps were already denominated in new Dong.  The Vietnamese Government conducted a devaluation of the Dong on September 14th, 1985. This meant that all stamps issued prior to this date were only worth one tenth at the time of mailing. The overall postage hence amounted to 8 oD = 0.80 nD. plus the stamps in new Dong (4,140nD) plus the red free frank for 5,660 nD for 9,800.8 nD. Green Fulda custom cachet on the reverse.

The letter carries imperforate Bicycle stamps plus stamps from the Communication, Lotus Flower, INDIA Stamp Exhibition, Dong Da and Cambodian National Day sets. Imperforate stamps on postally used cover are very rare. The Lotus stamps  were still denominated in old Dong while all other stamps were already denominated in new Dong.  The Vietnamese Government conducted a devaluation of the Dong on September 14th, 1985. This meant that all stamps issued prior to this date were only worth one tenth at the time of mailing. The overall postage hence amounted to 0.72 oD = 0.07 nD. plus the stamps in new Dong (3,410 nD) plus the red free frank for 6,110 nD for 9,520.07nD. Green Fulda custom cachet on front.

Registered air mail letter sent in November, 1990 from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz. The letter carries the souvenir-sheet from the overprinted World Cup and Soccer sets plus stamps from the Motorcycles (souvenir-sheets) and stamps from the Cambodian National Day (perforated and imperforate) sets  (including the red free frank for 5,350D). The overprinted Soccer stamps that were originally issued in 1982 had a very low nominal value which made them basically useless for postal usage. Therefore these stamps and souvenir-sheets on postally used cover are very rare. The Motorcycle stamps from 1984  were still denominated in old Dong while all other stamps were already denominated in new Dong.  The Vietnamese Government conducted a devaluation of the Dong on September 14th, 1985. This meant that all stamps issued prior to this date were only worth one tenth at the time of mailing. The overall postage hence amounted to 20 oD = 2 nD. plus the stamps in new Dong (4,700 nD) plus the red free frank for 7,050 nD for 11,752 nD. Fragment of the green Fulda custom cachet on front.
