Rare registered express mail letter sent to Klewitz in December of 1977. The letter carries the entire set twice plus some early NVN stamps for an overall postage of 4.01 Dong. Fulda arrival cancel and Fulda green custom stamp on the reverse.

Very rare registered express mail letter sent in June of 1978 to Klewitz. It carries a mixed franking that includes one of the 50 xu and three of the 1 Dong stamps. There are also four of the National Liberation Front (Viet Cong) stamps. The currency of the Viet Cong stamps represented the currency of the South Vietnamese Regime and hence was not compatible with the Dong of North Vietnam. Also Viet Cong stamps were, according to postal regulations, not to be used or cancelled in the North. This regulation clearly was disregarded in this particular case. Ignoring the invalid Viet Cong stamps the overall postage amounted to 5.10 Dong. The red free-frank on front shows “000” but was required to produce the registration label to the left. Red two line hand-stamp applied by the sender that states that the letter was franked by the sender Frankfurt arrival cancel on the reverse. Green Fulda custom cachets on front.

Air Mail letter mailed from Ho Chi Minh City in August of 1978 to Hong Kong using two of the 2D Total Liberation series plus five of the 1D October Revolution and one of the 12 xu stamps for a total postage of 11.12D.

Air mail letter sent in July of 1978 to Hong Kong using a mixed franking of the Gold Fish, October Revolution, Protected Birds, Orchid etc. sets for an overall postage of 4.85D.

Air mail letter from February of 1978 sent to Paris, France. It carries a block of ten of the 10 xu stamp, an October Revolution and the “Poland” and Communist Party stamps for an overall postage of 2.08 Dong.

Very rare registered express mail letter sent to Klewitz in September of 1978. The letter caries half of the im-perforated Sport Games set plus three stamps from the October revolution set. Im-perforated stamps on postally used cover are very rare. The overall postage amounted to 3.45 Dong. Fulda arrival cancel on the reverse.

Registered letter sent to Klewitz in June of 1982 sent from Nguyen Trai. It carries the National Union Congress set plus other NVN stamps for an overall postage of 11.04 (including the 8 Dong from the red free frank on the back). Green Fulda custom cachet on front.

Rare registered express mail letter mailed to Klewitz in December of 1980. The letter carries four of the Goat Beetle stamps plus  the October Revolution set for an overall postage of 4.38 Dong. The two military free franks issued 1971-1972 were only valid for inland mail but were cancelled without any remark. Fulda arrival cancel on the reverse. Green Fulda custom cachet on front.

Registered letter sent from Quan 5 (Cholon) to West Germany in May of 1981. The letter carries the entire set in different color variations plus a strip of five of the October revolution stamps for an overall postage of 7.90 Dong. Partial green Fulda custom cachet on front. Unusual red Quan 5 cancel.
