Unified Vietnam, 25 Years of Manned Space Flight, April 12th, 1986, Michel Nr. 1672-1678; Seven stamps with nominals of 1D (two stamps), 2D, 3D (two stamps) and 5D (two stamps) were issued in perforation 13 and imperforate. There was also a souvenir-sheet with a 10D nominal that was only released perforated 13.

Here is the mint perforated set. Stamps sold in Vietnam were made without gum, while stamps sold by the official Vietnamese stamp agency were sold with gum.

Registered air mail letter sent in October of 1986 as a mixed currency franking from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz. The letter carries half of the perforated Space Flight set plus stamps from the Labor Day, United Nations, KPdSU, Traditional Houses and World Food Day sets. The World Food Day stamps were still denominated in old Dong. All other stamps were already denominated in new Dong. The Vietnamese Government conducted a devaluation of the Dong on September 14th, 1985. This meant that all stamps issued prior to this date were only worth one tenth at the time of mailing. The overall postage hence amounted to  4 oD =0.40 nD. plus the stamps in new Dong (33D)  for 33.4 nD. Green Fulda custom cachet on front.

Registered air mail letter sent in October of 1986 as a mixed currency franking from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz. The letter carries the other half of the perforated Space Flight set and souvenir-sheet plus stamps from the Traditional Houses and Hai Phong Liberation sets. The Hai Phong Liberation stamps show a significant passer-shift making the lower columns of th bridge appear white. Error stamps and souvenir-sheets on postally used cover are very rare. The World Food Day stamps were still denominated in old Dong. All other stamps were already denominated in new Dong. The Vietnamese Government conducted a devaluation of the Dong on September 14th, 1985. This meant that all stamps issued prior to this date were only worth one tenth at the time of mailing. The overall postage hence amounted to  20 oD =2 nD. plus the stamps in new Dong (33D)  for 35 nD. Green Fulda custom cachet on the reverse.

The letter carries half of the perforated Space Flight set plus stamps from the Roses, Prehistoric Animals and Day of the Invalid  sets. The Prehistoric Animals stamps are imperforate. Imperforate stamps on postally used cover are very rare. The Rose and Prehistoric Animal were still denominated in old Dong while all other stamps were denominated in new Dong.  The Vietnamese Government conducted a devaluation of the Dong on September 14th, 1985. This meant that all stamps issued prior to this date were only worth one tenth at the time of mailing. The overall postage hence amounted to  5.04 oD =0.50 nD. plus the stamps in new Dong (21D) and the red free frank of 548D for 569.50nD.

The Prehistoric Animal were still denominated in old Dong while all other stamps were denominated in new Dong.  The Vietnamese Government conducted a devaluation of the Dong on September 14th, 1985. This meant that all stamps issued prior to this date were only worth one tenth at the time of mailing. The overall postage hence amounted to  16.5 oD =1.65 nD. plus the stamps in new Dong (23D) and the red free frank of 546D for 570.65 nD.

Air mail letter mailed in March of 1987 from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz. The letter carries half of the imperforate Space Flight and imperforate Poultry stamps plus perforated Labor Day stamps for an overall postage of  28D. Imperforate stamps on postally used cover are very rare.

Air mail letter sent in November of 1987 from Quan 5 (Cholon) to Klewitz. The letter carries the entire imperforate National Minorities set plus stamps from the Butterflies and Mannes Space Flight sets for an overall postage of 165D. Imperforate stamps on postally used cover are very rare. 

Registered air mail letter sent in April of 1988 from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz. The letter carries the other half of the perforated Mushroom set plus stamps from the STOCKHOLMIA Birds (stamp from souvenir-sheet), Traditional Indigenous Clothing (Imperforate), Mannes Space Flight and Insect (imperforate) sets. Imperforate stamps and stamps from souvenir-sheets on postally used cover are very rare. The overall postage of the letter (including the red free frank for 1,363D) amounted to 1,553D.
