Unified Vietnam, 11. Asia Games Beijing, June 20th, 1990, Michel Nr. 2204-2211, Block 82; Seven stamps with nominals of 100D, 200D, 300D, 500D, 1,000D, 2,000D and 3,000D were issued in perforation 13 and imperforate. There was also a souvenir-sheet with a 3,500D nominal that was perforated 12.75:13.25 and imperforate.

Registered air mail letter sent in September of 1990 from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz. The letter carries perforated and imperforate Asia Games stamps plus stamps from the Gold Fish (imperforate), Rice Planting, Capital Hue and HCM Birthday sets for an overall postage of 20,700D (including the red free frank for 4,100D). Imperforate stamps on postally used cover are very rare.

Unless one was using a free frank to add additional postage the low nominals would essentially demand too much space on a standard envelope. Here is a letter mailed in August of 1990 from Ho Chi Minh City to Klewitz with half of the overprinted series plus stamps from the Old Sail Ships, Horses, Asia Games and Ministry for Post and Telecommunications its for an overall postage of 9,256.5D (including the red free frank for 5,250D).

The letter carries the perforated Olympic Winter Games set plus stamps from the Chess, Crustaceans (imperforate) and Asia Games (imperforate) sets for an overall postage of 31,700D (including there red free frank for 1,600D). Imperforate stamps on postally used cover are very rare.
