Indochina, French Overseas Week, October 5th, 1945; Michel Nr. IND 346-348; Three unissued French stamp were overprinted with new values for use in Indochina. The nominals were 50C plus 50C surcharge, 1P plus 1P surcharge and 2P plus 2P surcharge. Given the high surcharges these stamps were not particularly popular with the general public. So cancelled stamps and postal history carrying them are rare.

Sunken Die Proof of the 2P + 2P overprinted  stamp with the dry seal of the Ministry of Colonies office. Rare.

Mixed franking of the complete set paying an overall postage of 3.50P on a registered international air mail letter sent from Dalat to France in December of 1946. French arrival cancel on the reverse.

International air mail letter sent from Saigon to France in August of 1947 and featuring the 50C +50C (2) and 1P +1P stamps paying an overall postage of 2P.

Mixed franking of the 50C+50 and 1P+1P Overseas Week (4 each) together with the 30C Domestic Sciences II stamps (2) paying an overall postage of 6.60P on a registered  international air mail letter sent from Saigon to France in January of 1949. Saigon transit and Paris arrival cancel on the reverse.
